Individual That Touched Ariana Grande on the occasion of Film Launch Banned from Singapore

A man from Australia that leaped past a barrier and reached for Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been sent away and prohibited from Singapore.

The man, aged 26, was given a sentence to nine days in detention for disrupting public order and has now been "banned from entering the country again," the country's border control told Singaporean press.

The man shoved through camera crews and charged at the actress and singer, who was present at the Asian premier for the film on 13 November. Co-performer Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.

The individual has a record of disrupting concerts and star-studded occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year.

The incident provoked strong reactions in Singapore, with numerous people claiming he of re-traumatising Grande.

The singer has spoken of dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at her show in Manchester in several years ago killed 22 individuals and injured hundreds.

Throughout the court proceedings, the authorities learned he had tried to gain access on the film's premiere on two occasions, according to Singaporean media.

He then made a follow-up try to cross the barriers. Protection personnel intercepted him and held him in place.

Wen later posted video clips appreciating the celebrity for permitting his access and said he was "at liberty."

Law enforcement arrested him the subsequent day and charged him with disorderly conduct, to which he confessed.

The Court Judge the judicial official was cited by media reports as stating that the man sought attention, commenting that he was wrong to assume he would not face any penalties.

The actress has not commented on the situation.

The co-star mentioned the incident to NBC, remarking that she "simply desired to make sure my friend was safe."

"I think he didn't intend us harm, but you can't predict with such situations, and I sought to ensure that she was alright. That was my first instinct," she said.
